Codename: Hawk
Weight:180
Organization: GI Joe
Rank;O-7 Brigadier General
Age:44

Personality:Hawk is a born leader and leads from the front, often going into battle himself. He commands respect both in and out of the military. He runs a tight command and will not tolerate anything that he thinks could cause the failure of the mission of the Joes and he is completely devoted to destroying Cobra. He is also haunted by the memories of the men he has lost in pursuit of this goal, but he doesn't let this get in the way of his command.

History:Hawk is the code name of Briagdier General Clayton M. Abernathy. He is the original field commander of the G.I. Joe Team. Born in Denver, Colorado, he comes from a wealthy family, whose influence enabled him to enroll in West Point. He graduated at the top of his class, and was able to gain battlefield experience in several trouble spots, before he got his General's star and was promoted to honcho the entire G.I. Joe operation. He is described as "keenly intelligent and perceptive and quite capable of totally selfless acts in support of his teammates. An excellent leader!"

Hawk sat heavily onto his bunk. Most officers of hawks rank would want a less spartan room and one that wasn't as close to the grunts as Hawks room. But then Hawk wasn't like most officers; his room was sparsely furnished with a bunk, desk, uniform, and equipment locker and a television. On top of the desk was s small box that contained dog tags. It was the one item besides a small Bible that seemed to really stand out in the military neat room. It was to this box he walked again today. The box contained all of the dogtags of the men he had lost in the war with Cobra. I wonder what these men thought of our fight and the hell that they went through. I wonder if they thought it was worth it all in the end, hawk though as the gentle clink of the new dog tags against the old seemed to echo through the room. He sighed heavily. He was so lost in thought that he did not even register the presence of his command Sargent Major Wayne R. Sneeden of Beachhead as he was known until he spoke " I have some last minute touch ups on that raid in Columbia,Sir......Sir?",Beachhead ended the last with a note of concern in his voice not often heard from the tough Ranger, but then again not meany men could garner as much respect from him as Hawk did. Hawk looked up from the box of tags and asked" beachhead Can I ask you something off the record?' Beachhead nodded looking somewhat uneasy. Hawk continued We have lost alot of good men this last year. Fighting Cobra;I have written more condolence letters telling wives and mothers that there men aren't coming home than I care to think about. Is it worth it Beachhead? I mean to the grunts like you. This war is something more than just the politics of the time like other wars have been, right? Beachhead sat the files he was holding on the bear by desk and leaned his muscled body against the door frame and said Hawk, I sure a heck know you already known this, but I am just going to remind you. Every single grunt out there is no different from you or me they all fight for each other, and they all have someone in their lives that they want to keep out of Cobra's clutches and that is worth their lives in their book and I know those guys that died in Columbia felt the same,Sir. Hawk nodded and said Thanks Beachhead. Beachhead waved off the thanks and said Not a problem we all lose sight of that fact sometime, but there is one thing I forgot to mention. Your don't fight for any damn yellow belly politicians. We fight with and for you ,sir Hawk nodded again and said with a small smile I know son I know. Now get on back to your duties while I get this paper work done. With that Beachhead turned and left leaving Hawk to the never ending paper work that comes with command.
